In the heart of Aínsa's old town, inside the imposing Casa Latorre, stands the Museum of Traditional Trades and Crafts, an essential visit for discovering the history, daily life and ancestral knowledge of the Aragonese Pyrenees.

The museum houses one of the most complete ethnographic collections in the area, focused on the traditional trades that shaped the economy and culture of the mountains. The historic isolation of these valleys helped many of these trades survive until relatively recent times, preserving tools, materials and objects of great heritage value.

🧰 A journey through Pyrenean trades

Spread across the four floors of a 16th-century building, the museum offers a thematic journey through different trades:

  • Blacksmith's workshop: anvil, forge and original tools.
  • Woodworking trades: carpentry and sawmilling, from the tree to the finished furniture.
  • Traditional textiles: loom, hemp, wool and handcrafted garments.
  • Pottery, tinsmithing and basketry: essential elements of the rural household.

Through these rooms, visitors can understand everyday life in the Sobrarbe valleys and appreciate the ingenuity, skill and creativity of past generations.
